Description (last modified by benj)

Request to reprocess GB04/06 to fix Eagle radiometric calibration errors (see #81). Data is currently with AKW, we'll have to get it from him.

Original email (via Gary):

Dear Gary

Thanks for your message, I was wondering what had happened to this data. We had agreed with NERC ARSF to use this instead of air photography to give us high spatial resolution imagery where the spectral resolution was a bonus. In short, the data will be of greta value as they may help us to estimate forest stocking which the ATM and CASI cannot. I am about to leave for Switzerland for a few days but I would welcome a discussion about the data from GB04-06 Kielder. However, please process the EAGLE data for us.

Thanks
Danny

  • Component changed from Processing: Eagle to Processing: general

Removing eagle processing component (we only really use the generic processing component, so removing spurious ones)

Data is at /data/sargasso2/arsf/daphne_backups/disk2/dataa2006/125_GB04_06

The above is just the CASI data - Eagle and Hawk are at /data/sargasso2/arsf/daphne_backups/disk5/andrew/125GB04-06/, though I'll put them under ~arsf when I'm done.

Have rearranged the data structure (had some Hawk duplicated and wrongly marked as Eagle, other lines not labelled clearly).

For Eagle, files 12 & 13 contain dark data, files 14 and 15 are zero size and therefore unrecoverable. File 4 has a size inconsistent with its header and therefore may also have problems.

Eagle line 12: dark data for binning 2:1, fps 30, tint 30
Eagle line 13: dark data for binning 2:2, fps 30, tint 30

Lines 13-15 were separated out, may be a different site (but if so all data for that site is unrecoverable as above).

For some reason the Eagle and Hawk data seem to have been split across multiple directories - the other half of the Hawk data is at /data/sargasso2/arsf/daphne_backups/disk4/tmp/Lacie_ARSF1/Hawk/00amer1/125-06/, still looking for the rest of the Eagle data (assuming it exists, since Eagle lines 14 and 15 are dead and we're missing 16-27, could be the instrument crashed and there isn't any more Eagle).

Minor note: we should warn Andrew we're doing this one so there aren't two deliveries.

Delivery had been checked.

Minor changes to Read-Me file:
