    9 Eagle uses a 1024x1024 CCD, but is spatially binned by 2 when in operation (so you get a maximum of 512 spatial pixels).  This base level of 2 is "spatial binning = 1".  However, when in calibration mode, the instrument returns the full data width (ie. all 1024 pixels).  This must be accounted for in any calibration code.
